


Based in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, Bea Last is an award-winning international visual artist whose practice responds to urgent global issues including conflict, humanitarian crisis, migration, and environmental concerns. Working predominantly through sculptural drawing installations, she transforms repurposed, salvaged, recycled, and found materials into powerful works that explore fragility, resilience, and the human condition.Alongside her studio practice, education and community engagement form a significant part of her work. Through workshops, mentoring, artist talks, and creative outreach, she advocates for the importance of creativity as a tool for communication, confidence, and connection. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals on the autism spectrum through art and creative expression.Her workshops are accessible to all ages and focus strongly on process-led learning and experimentation. Bea currently facilitates a portfolio development course for young artists aged 16–25 who are considering applications to art school or careers within the creative industries, offering guidance, mentorship, and support in developing individual creative practices.
